since in south Florida there is no winter is it required to trim Liriope Muscari in Zone 10?
You do have winter it's just not below 40 degrees at night. You still carry on as if it were winter and you can transplant and prune in "winter" as you would up North in spring and fall.

You don't ever need to trim liriope but, if you want it to keep flowering, once it forms a large clump of green leaves, if you don't dig it up and divide the clumps it will not flower well or at all. It's like Daylillies in that if it develops a large root system it feels no need to continue flowering.
