Just got back from my garden and found the same thing with only 1 of my Garden Leader Monster plants. I have 3 other GLMonsters plus 28 other various heirloom tomato plants. Two lower trusses were affected and both were hollow when cut near the main stem. There is also black dashed lines running up the truss if you can zoom in to see them. The first two pics are the first truss and the last is the second truss. Doesn't look like Early or Late Blight and doesn't look like the symptoms I see as V Wilt. You can tell by the leaves that the nutrients are being choked from them though.

Ha just now I found out my dads dog had started taking ear drops a couple weeks ago for an infection in the outer ear. This is the label:

The same bacteria responsible for the destruction of mine and your tomato plant and others. So it seems like this bacteria must really bloom in this type of weather and time of year. Take note.

Are there steps I can take to prevent this and other diseases next time? I've purchased 20 Gallon pots for my next plants but Im a beginner with gardening
Proteins in the organic supplements for a start. Turns out fungi feed on bacteria and proteins are a good base for them to start from. Inoculating with tried and true fungi like trichoderma help. You will have layers like any good security program. Try to avoid the strypto group as even though you can purchase what amounts to an antibiotic for the garden, it is not super effective in the sense that what survives the treatment learns to become antibiotically resistant, a problem for the larger community.

Can anything be done to save the healthy-ish looking one? I've also attached pictures of the inside of the other three plants I took down today. All were cut along at the base right above the dirt.

Is your healthyish plant doing any good? So far I've cut off 3 hollowed out branches on my plant and so far no more yellowing. That will probably change though but right now it looks just fine, if you didn't know something happened. My plants are about 4' tall now.
