Hello there!

I'm looking for a recommendation for a tiller that can power through:

Dry rocky soil
Thick moss
Thin but long roots

I am completely replacing the lawn in our yard, but it is infested with now dead but still fairly thick moss and plenty of rocks and roots. Can anyone recommend for me a tiller that can really power through this stuff?

Thanks for any help!

Well that's a good tip at least perhaps although I don't mind at all investing to have some nicer equipment that gets the job done really well and if I have no use for it after that maybe I'll start my own landscaping business.

Get a powerful one and it won't matter what brand. I have an old 5 hp that goes through anything. Every spring and fall I put it up for rent on Craigslist for $25 dollars a day. It beats having to rent one myself and I make a few bucks while its sitting idle in the shed.
