Hello, I have repotted a big strelitzia Nicolai into a bigger pot a month ago and in the process changed the soil (with the same type as before) and did some root pruning. The soil seems to never dry out even after 2 weeks of no watering (always remains wet even the top 1 inch) and the leaves are drooping as if they are not getting enough water.
Don't know what to do! Help!

Ignore the lower droopy leaves. The big new ones are the important ones and they look fine. It is better to just move Birds up and not mess with the roots. If you can't stand the lower leaves looking that way then cut them off. It's a good thing you have it in such bright light.

Put a bamboo chopstick in the pot and that will give you a better indication of soil moisture. You can pull it out to check.
