Hi there
I bought a Strelitzia about 2 1/2 weeks a ago but since transportation and placing it in my room the leaves startet cracking. The plant gets a lot of sunlight and is put close to the windows of an old building (im not quite sure if it is the lacking air that starts the cracking because it doesn't seem like a lot but maybe it's already enough¿). I water it once a week.
Does someone have any tips? I was planning to own it for a long time but as for now it seems like its going downhill...

Thanks in advance

Greetings, welcome to the Forums.

Some of the leaf damage to this White Bird-of-Paradise (Strelitizia nicolai, or a similar species) may be mechanical damage that happens when a plant is moved or jostled. Some of the damage may have occurred during shipment, but was only noticed later. Newer leaves should come in with less damage, unless somebody or something bumps into the plant. The plant's location looks like it gets plenty of light which is good for Strelitzia. Be certain that the soil and container both drain well, so that saturated soil conditions don't develop.
