Hehe. Havent planted them yet.

Onions, cabbage, & broccoli:

Havent planted those either but wont be much longer.

Have green onions in a planter outside that havent sprouted yet. My spinach has sprouted outside but mother nature is trying her best to kill them with a 22F morning. Going to start my tomatoes and eggplants here in a few days. My squash, cucumber, & melons are next in line to be started. Then corn, green beens, and okra get direct seeded to the garden.

It’s in the high 50s here during the day and low 40s at night. A bunch of babies went to the unheated greenhouse this last Saturday.
Your babies all look good and healthy!
I put my taters in their grow bags this weekend.
I usually start my cukes indoors but thinking about direct sowing them next spring. They always look a little peeved for a week or so after transplanting :sneaky:

Like your lolly stick labels, I use the same, try and keep plastic out of the garden generally, pots are the main source, and those little labels that say something like 'Ripe and ready mango'. They go right through the composting process and survive for years in the soil. It really pees me off, if something is ripe and ready the label only need to last a few days. not that they ever are actually ripe. No label on the plant in the last picture I notice, I think I could identify it for you if you are stuck :)

I love the lolly sticks. They eventually rot away so no plastic in the garden. I do use some plastic labels but I reuse them every year.
Honestly I feel the same way about the so called compostable pots or whatever those are. They not only mold when in use but they do NOT break down anytime soon and the roots tend to try to stay within their parameters. Hate those.
Some of my plants get names...the one in the last picture...her name is Malibu Barbie hahahaha

Looking real good. Not leggy, right height. Color is mostly good.
That one tomato plants lower leaf looks a little pale for some reason.
There is one lonely Jalepeno that has purple leaves. What is happening with it?

The jalapeño is a lost cause I think . Not sure what went wrong with him so I started some new ones.
The other peppers all look good but that jalapeño is just sad lol

In fact, every time I grow peppers it’s always the jalapeño that goes wrong. They always start off good and then turn funky colors, curl up and decide they hate me.
Despite that we got a huge load of them off the two plants I grew last year.
I saved their seeds and used those for these new babies.
Maybe I should start with all new seeds.

I see the other peppers have purple leaves too. I'm guessing they aren't getting enough phosphorus for some reason.

I think the black Hungarian are supposed to be dark leaves?
What do you recommend for pepper fertilizer ? I usually use my tomato tone on peppers as well starting around the time I move them outside in April .
