First, I know nothing about growing roses. I started a post yesterday about a PBS tv show here in N.Carolina that discusses local issues. one of topics yesterday was about rosette disease (virus) they said it was discovered in the central US (when ?) and now in the southeast, was first seen on the multiflora roses, wild roses used for erosion control in the 1930's imported from japan .
The virus is spread by mites it's not in the soil, and is spread easily when roses (plants) are close together, they said it wasn't known if it was spread by big box stores, and i assumed they were talking about the mites ? ? just thought y'all would like to know if you didn't already
