Rose flower petals turning brown

I just got a new rose plant in the container. The day after planting it, I started to notice that the petals of flowers turned brown.

Some of the leaves have started to turn yellow.

I have another bare root rose planted 3 feet away from this rose plant, and that bare root rose seems to be infected with fungus. Not sure if that is the reason for this new plant to be running into problems just a day after planting.

At this point I don't think the infected rose has anything to do with this other rose. You may lose the flowers temporarily due to it being planted out. Roses are hungry and thirsty plants so until it settles it's roots keep it watered. Roses are best watered at the base when using tap water. Did you feed it on planting?

The rose being planted against a wall will encourage the flowers to either face the sun or the best light possible.
