Rooting beds?

Do any of you prefer a rooting bed or cold frame for cuttings? What is your preferred setup? I am thinking of making an elongated cold frame with a rooting section and then sections where the potted cuttings or hardening off seedlings might go.

It's a good idea, i don't have room for one so cuttings are in pots where there's a bit of space. I used to have a cold frame but didn't use it much.
