Should I remove all of the old long leaves from this plant? It looks like new ones are emerging from the middle.

No, keep both the old and new leaves on your Hybrid Lenten-rose (Helleborus x hybridus cv.), both are healthy and will serve to nourish the plant. Remove only dead or dying leaves.

Hellebores (Helleborus) are evergreen perennials in the Buttercup Family (Ranunculaceae), native to Europe, Anatolia, caucasia, Morocco, and China. They are grown in temperate gardens worldwide for both their dramatically cut leaves and ornately curious flowers.
