Pumpkin? Cucumber? Or something else?

It certainly looks like a cucurbit type of plant. The only way to know what kind of cucurbit it is, is to look at the female flower and see what kind of fruit the plant will produce. You cannot go by the leaves as many of them are very similar.

It is a Japanese cucumber plant. From the time of my first post, until now, we have picked, and eaten, one of the cucumbers. Good stuff.
