Hi. Adding raised garden beds, but wondering what you all think would be the best choise material to place between the raised beds to prevent vegetation. Mulch doesnt seem to be a good idea bc it hold in moisture. Im guessing stone, but what type stone? landscape fabric underneath?

thx

No matter what you put down you will still get weeds eventually. IMO it is what material is easiest to remove weeds from that is important. And anything that covers the ground, including rocks, will hold in moisture. Many people use stepping stones between raised beds and leave their grass.

I use a thick layer of wood chips - not the landscape mulch but wood chips like in an old school playground.

Another option would be paver stones or grass lawn.

Rocks or gravel will collect dirt and seeds over years.

Like chuck says , nothing is forever, I just leave grass and run the mower down it, up against the walls needs taking down every so often.
