I have my pothos outside and it's been pretty cold at night. Could the cold have cause the stems to turn black? The leaves are fine and the soil is just slightly moist.

Greetings, welcome to the Forums

Golden Pothos (Epipremnum aureum) is a tropical evergreen vine in the Aroid Family (Araceae), likely originally native to the Pacific island of Moorea, but now grown worldwide, outdoors in tropical areas, but in temperate climes, it does best as a conservatory or houseplant , at least in Winter. The weather in late Winter in Italy would be too cold for Epipremnum to grow well. It is likely that the plant has suffered some cold injury.
