A 24 foot row of Sugar Snap peas was planted. Both the pod and peas are edible. A trellis four feet high and 24 feet long was made from concrete reinforcing wire, 4 by 8 feet pieces, and held in position with fence posts. Peas were planted one inch deep and two inch spacing along the wire.Ground temperature is 60 degree F or about 16 C.

You are certain it still is not to soon Durgan? We had frost here not even four nights ago on this side of the pond, I have been leery about putting the peas out just yet, although last night was rather breath taking weather wise. The full moon with the crystal halo was certainly a treat.

I guess I do have a tendency to wait to long on the peas, last year they did not do that well, long range looks like we might be having some really nice warm weather this week. I think I might try now too..
