I'm not sure if I'm a member or not, but the idea of a photo a month to vote on sounds like fun. If I'm a member, I would occasionally post a photo, and would certainly vote.
How do I find out if I signed up to be a member? My memory isn't as good as it used to be, lol. 😊

Thank you. Then I vote for a Photo of the Month contest, but no strict categories, only specifying that the main focus of each photo is plants thus allowing a free play of creativity. I would love to see photos of people's gardens, orchards, greenhouses and so on in various environmental conditions, in addition to individual flowers, veggies etc. But if it turns out to be one ginormous tomato after another, I'm tuning out.

Not my call, but I agree

@Deblee incase you are unaware, there is a garden photography sub-forum on here where you can make threads and/or post garden related photo's as artistically created as you like.. or just admire all the photos other members have posted over the years. I do digital art so I've even posted digital art photography pics of garden plants that only exist in my mind. It's a great sub-forum to chill out in on days the forum seems a bit less active and doesn't have many new relatable posts or threads to jump in on. I totally understand your creative spirit blending together the art of photography with the love for gardening so it should help take the edge off until the photo of the month comes to a commence.

Thank you, Pepper. Sounds like it's right up my alley!

I cannot see any downsides and I always enjoyed the photos. I say bring it back. I also think that many would-be gardeners find the forum a bit intimidating. Perhaps a Gardening 101 section could also be of help. Right this minute we have 446 guests and 4 members online. Why aren't those 446 a member instead of a guest? Why aren't they participating?
It seems wherever you go online, there are a lot more people just viewing than participating. I think it's just a facet of the human psyche. In fact, it's the same way in real life.
