Hello everyone! I am a college student working on developing a new gardening product as part of an entrepreneurship class. I wanted to reach out to a community of experienced gardeners because honestly, who better to ask?
Gardening has always held a special place in my life. My grandparents have tended to their home garden every single day for as long as I can remember, growing flowers, vegetables, and all kinds of plants with a dedication and patience I have always admired. That love of the garden is a big part of what inspired this project.
The product I am developing is a modular gardening handle system. The idea is simple — instead of keeping a separate tool for every garden job, it gives you one comfortable handle that different tool heads can attach to and detach from quickly and easily. Need a trowel? Click it on. Done digging and need a weeder? Swap it out in seconds with a simple lever mechanism, no tools required. One handle does the job of your entire collection.
The goal is to reduce clutter, save storage space, and make gardening a little more convenient without sacrificing the quality of the tools themselves. I have included some prototype photos below so you can get a clearer picture of what I am describing.
I would truly love to hear any thoughts you are willing to share — what concerns you might have, what you find appealing or unappealing, anything you wish your current tools did better, or any questions at all. Every response means a great deal and will directly shape how this product develops.
Thank you so much for your time, and I hope you all have a wonderful day in the garden!
