Well, I thought I'd finally conquered pests with organic controls and prevented them from destroying my cucumbers this year. The plants have, for once, made it all these months with no problems, but alas, that time appears to be over.

Can anyone tell me what this pest is? I'm seeing both small, yellow bits and larger white ones on the undersides of leaves. Apologies for the poor photo. Thanks

What you have is the start of a Mealy Bug/Scale attack. The white fuzzy stuff are mealybugs, a type of scale insect and the little yellow things are either what is called a crawler or it is an egg sac. A crawler is the first instar of the insect. Maybe the following link will help understand these things. Use either Insecticidal Soaps or Neem Oil to control them.
