Can anyone please help me identify the pest in the picture? They are all over my fruits and herbs and I can't seem to make them go away.
I bet you live in S. Florida or at least I hope you do. The insect pictured is an invasive species that has established itself only (so far) in S. Florida. Its name is Yellow-headed Ravenous Weevil or the Sri Lanka Weevil. As this isect is almost unknown what to treat for it is basically unknown but a spinosad based insecticide works well on other weevils and beetles such as this sucking insect. Let us know what happens please. It is a major destroyer of many agricultural products. Can anyone please help me identify the pest in the picture?
