Hi guys,

Has anyone experience this before, please see photo. Pansies were perfectly healthy a week or so ago and are now browning and it seems to be spreading. Parts are still healthy but then in some parts the plant has disappeared completely! Help please!

Welcome to the forum @Mb10
Your pansies seem to be lacking sufficient water. Hanging baskets are notorious for this problem, and the weather has been quite warm lately. The best way to get the water in to the basket is to dunk them in a bath or suitable container and let them have a good soak - preferably in a shady spot. If they still look a bit tatty don`t be afraid to lop them all off low down on the plants and they will grow back.
If it`s a pain watering every day the plants could always be transferred into the ground somewhere in your garden in a shadier spot. :)

Thank you, they have been in that spot for a couple of years and have never been affected and my watering routine has stayed constant throughout really. Have just submerged so hope they will be OK? So you don't think it's a disease of some sort?

If they`ve been in that basket for that long - in the same compost  they are doing well to flower at all. They will be congested and lacking food and space. It would be good to replenish the basket with new compost and put the pansies in the garden. You could then harvest seeds from them as they 'go over' and raise some nice new plants for the nice new compost :joyful: ...... and no, I don`t think there is any disease there.
