Old crown of thorns

Hi, I am new to site. I have a 3 ft crown of thorns. A few years ago I repotted and it was doing well. All of a sudden leaves are turning yellow and dropping off. It does have new shoots. I am afraid it is dying, Leaves all all drooping. I only water ever 2 or 3 weeks.

If I were to guess I would say that the plant is root bound if it has been growing in the same pot for years. This will lead to a large root ball that is difficult to water properly. Watering a root bound plant every 2 weeks is not enough water.
