Saved this from a random spot on my property, been looking after it for a few months now, grows very slow, not entirely sure what it is? palm of some sort I assume

Looks like my date plant that I grew from some date seeds we had at Christmas a few years ago :)

I'll go take a pic of it.....

It is definitely a palm. If there was no coconut attached to it, then it is not a coconut. Doesn’t look substantial enough for Date palm either. What kind of fan palms grow in your area?

Those things hang around for years. I had one in a container that lasted at least 8.

@Scrungee and I had a standing joke about a couple of coconut shells that kept re appearing in our compost heaps 😄

Yeah cant be a coconut palm.
No specific species come to mind that look like this one, its a pretty arid area here, im pretty sure its a fan palm, but ill see how big it gets, ill find a better spot than in the pot though, just wanted to get it back to health first, which it seems to be all G now.
