Source? Link? I haven't found a good one yet for home use but that looks like maybe a candidate.

Since learned that oxidation on the stick can be removed with a vinager soak, I have had good success with several types of meters. At this point, because of the physical pressure bending the skinny metal probes, I opted for a more robust sensor shaft. Of course if the soil is that hard it is probably to dry to measure pH properly anyway.
