So i treated my plant with alcohol diluted in water 1 by 4 and now as far as i understand the remains of scale insects are gone. I wiped the leaves before and after. But now, the plant looks even worse. Im worried, esp about the leaf on the second picture that looked way better before the treatment. The little leaf down there looks pretty good tho.

I do not believe that anyone responding to your original post on this Forum recommended alcohol. I know for certain I did not and would never recommend it for a sick and possibly dying plant.

Perhaps you should ask the one who recommended it to you.

The ratio is dependent on the alcohol used.

At this point, I know of nothing that can be done to save that plant...time will tell.

I honestly don't know what can be done after alcohol treatment...but I would assume normal watering.

Where did you get the idea to wash the leaves with alcohol?

Ratio might be incorrect.
Yes, it appears to be.

I did a little research follow up on this situation. The standard for 70% seems to be 1 part alcohol to 20 parts water for sensitive plants which this one certainly qualifies as being.

Further it is highly recommended to do a small test sample to determine the plants' reaction before proceeding to a full application.
