we also have begun the process of staining the woodened deck railings and the pathway down to the dock. Unfortunately husband had to screw some nails in here and there on the walking path. And it has come to note that people that built the wooden path hammered in the nails, not screwed them in, so they can pop out easily. Have a feeling the prior owner knew nothing about proper building and just let folks do willy nilly. Sad.

Then we drove from New Bern, NC. to Forest City, NC to meet up with nephews and his family at a Jet ski competition. Really interesting. On a neat lake. But noisy. I think I have a noise threshold, for the length of time. Glad to leave for quiet at 8PM on first night. 2nd night did stay longer for fireworks on the lake, petty. Still noisy with Jet skies running about . But interesting. The gathering was awesome folks, very mannerly. and helpful togetherness. We noted on the second day, that we saw no one smoking, or drinking beer, and no swearing. Tuesday we head back to New Bern, NC. to finish up a couple of projects. Just hope it has rained up north again for my dear garden.

Ester, beauty bushes grow in the wild down in the south. They love it here. Birds spread the seeds and they germinate with no help from humans at all.

Yes, heard that about beauty bushes, and also the type I have in my North garden in PA, is a different type, than the ones in southern garden.

Been to North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Thought about going back to North Carolina and decided I have it all here in Missouri.

I guess the weather in Missouri would keep me from that area. Love a good winter. Hate hot weather. And sticky weather, and humid weather, and bugs. There is a bug line, would never live below the bug line. Have fun.
