Hello,so im hoping you all can help me,I have a big fir tree in my garden, and every year my garden gets covered in the dead fir pine sheddings.if you zoom in on the attached picture you will see my problem. The problem is,I have slate chippings underneath the tree and all round the border of my garden,I have tried using a brush and a rake to collect the shreddings from the tree, but it didn't seem to make a difference and some of the shredding are embedded into the slate. I am thinking of getting a leaf blower,to get all the shreddings up,but i dont know much about leaf blowers, all I know is that I want it to collect the shreddings up,but not the slate, I want a cordless one, that it needs to have a low setting aswell as a high one.can anyone give me some advise of which one to buy please.

Bought this Flymo from Amazon late last year, so only used a few times, but we do get a lot of oak leaves. Think you will find the problem is it has to be a reasonable force to blow them, but not enough to blow the stones as well. I’m sure most well known models would be just as good, we bought this one as the same batteries are used on the hoover, hedge trimmer and lawnmower and charger for them that we had already.

You want a blower that also sucks up. If you go for a battery one check out the cost of a new battery first. I disposed of my battery hedge trimmer as the new battery cost more than the purchase price of a new one. The recycling box at the recycling centre was filled with them. If you hold the gadget just high enough it will not suck up the slates.

I take it you're concerned about sucking up the slate. Try using the blower horizontally not blowing the fir needles directly. This action my suck up the fir and blow them to an area where there is no slate.
