Lawn Revival Advice Needed

Hi, We're completely new to gardening and have recently moved house. Our new lawn is in poor condition and we need some advice on how to revive it. Or should we just get it re-turfed?

Any advice would be gratefully received!

You will need to determine which grass you want and if that grass already exists in the yard or vice versa, as this will lead to the specifications for weed control, pH needs, watering regimen, feeding routine and so forth.

You could spend a good amount of cash and work trying to retrieve your lawn. If mine I would either re-turf or as a learning curve start afresh and use grass seed.
