Hi, I'm looking for any advice on getting my lawn back to a decent state. I have looked at purchasing a scarifier, however, I need some expert advice on how to go about starting off. The lower end of the garden is shaded by the large tree, therefore the grass tends to wear away here. Is there any advice on how I can get around this. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum :)

I'm no lawn expert but i'd loosen the soil in the bare areas, rake it fine and put some grass seed down, water every day till it gets established and keep off it for a few months.
