Just purchased my first lavender plant and wanted to make sure on a few things. From what I've gathered it's very similar to rosemary in terms of water, soil, and sunlight. Is that correct? Also if I'm using the leaves in culinary use, should I stop the lavender from bolting like basil does?

Other than that if you have any advice or uses please share!

Thanks.

Yep, it's pretty similar to rosemary in terms of how to look after it. It's best to prune them each year, as if you don't they can get rather large and woody and it's difficult to go back from that. Treat them mean to keep them keen ;)
