👋 Hi

I got some seeds, I recognised basilicum and dille, but what is this? Any ideas?

Thank you

Thank you all so much! Can I already start harvesting the bigger leafs or should I wait untill they all grow?
Don't worry, I won't be asking for recipes next 🤤😉

Eat a small sample at night and if you wake up in the morning feeling fine they are OK to eat.
On the other hand if you don't wake up don't eat any more of it.

Seriously, you should be able to tell by tasting a leaf if they are brassicas, think raw cabbage. Brassicas are nearly always nicer younger.

I just eat the young leaves/stems, because they are the ones packed with nutrients. I would allow it to go to flower for absolute ID and then collect the seeds. It's been my experience when I harvest seeds from my broccoli and other brassicas, they germinate so much faster and at a greater proportion than store-bought seeds.

I would also plant them outside in the ground...but I'm biased and hate container gardening.

Thank you for the insight. I will try to harvest the seeds and plant them with more space. This one is sharing a pot with a small palm tree, in my balcony. So far so good!

Brassicas can cross pollinate, they may not come true, but they can still be quite good.
They also need pollination so if you only have one you might not have much luck

I wish i could save b. Oleraceae seed, I've done turnips before but cabbage, kale etc don't like overwintering for me
