Heart fern (hemionitis arifolia), are these peticides?

I don't recall these yellow things from the day I received. I think it just recently appeared. The plant seems fine other than having some new and little yellow leaves near the root.

what are these yellow things? Should I do something about it?

It's just a stem, and nothing to worry about, your Heart fern is doing very well and looks super healthy. You are doing a great job taking care of her.
