You see, im just getting started. Me and my wife live in leavenworth, WA. It gets very cold and we get alot of snow, however we love gardening. We have decided this year we will be doing an indoor garden, so i took one of the rooms in our house and turned it into a "Grow" Room(Forgive the term). We already have many tomato plants, pepper plants, melons, and herbs. I look forward to sharing my experience with all of you and asking many of you plenty of questions. If i get any responses i will gladly add a picture of my room ;)

That sounds interesting, your Grow Room. Leavenworth, WA. you say. I have relatives that live in Federal Way. Not sure where you are in comparison. I was just there in Federal Way this September visiting. The, jealous thing I love about that area is your zone is warmer than ours by just enough that more Hydrangeas survive there than in my area. We get very cold here and also have a lot of snow. You also have a wonderful nursery/gardens on the west side called Heronswood, a wonderful place to visit. Anyway, as far as staying active in the winter, other than my continued plight of raking leaves, we have a lot of leaves, I don't do much gardening in the "real winter" , I actually do not garden for food at all. Fortunate to have lots of Amish around me, so I get all sorts of veggies at cheap prices compared to my time, etc to grow my own.
Looking forward to following along.

That is very cool IndoorNovice. I'm new here at the site, and also new at gardening. I live in the Caribbean so we can plant all year long, but I do know how cold it could get during the winter up North, since I'm from NY. The indoor garden is an excellent idea.

I am glad that I had found this site because I grew up having a garden at home that is well maintained and taken care of by my mother and father. I am also just new in this forum and so far I am learning many things that I can share with my mom whose passion is gardening and is always devoting her time everyday taking care of our garden at home. An indoor garden is really a nice idea and when you put plants inside the house it will really looks more attractive. Even if it is winter already I will try my best to be more active in the participation with the discussions here.
