My mum gave me a Debbie Camelia over 20 years ago . I know that because she has been gone for nearly 20 years. It was planted outside our bedroom window, got too big so had it moved. Sadly it didn't survive the move. I had the trunk in my hand to throw on the fire but couldn't do it.
I spray paint it silver every year or so and have had it in my garden ever since.
Here it is, newly spruced up and in its' new much safer pot.
I think it needs some solar fairy lights next.

What a lovely idea @DeborahJane .
We have a column apple tree that my parents gave us a couple of years before my Mum died , sadly it hasn't been looking too healthy for the last couple of years, but I can't bring myself to removing it, but now you have given me a brilliant idea for when the inevitable happens .....thank you :)
