Is this a normal leaf display on the Ronde De Nice Squash/Zucchini I tried planting for the first time this year, or is it some sore of disease?

Not normal................early stage powdery mildew

Before pulling it I would spray both sides of the leaves with Neem Oil. It's the beginning of fall so it won't be too long before first frost. Perhaps you can get some production before then.
