Actually, it was a formatting issue with the source document that I overlooked. Does being stupid break the rules?

That could be re-written somewhat. We don't want folks to come in here and start promoting their business YT channels for monetary gain.

Posting up YT vids, whether their own or those of others, that align to the content of the forum (gardening, plants, etc...) or are not a promotion for monetary gain, is certainly allowed.

Well, i sell seeds on a small scale, and my profile pic is an advertisement by most interpretations. Just type flyover seeds into the Internet.

But my posts aren't really advertising related at all unless someone asks for something i got or by seeing what i grow they get inspired and want to grow it too, or maybe someone out there likes my Internet persona enough to want to patronize me. But in my mind being part of this community is advertising for me. That's how i justify it. I'm not going to pretend with you.

But i like to think that i contribute as much as i take and respectfully don't shit all over the forum with unsolicited ads

So am i in violation of the rules?

You are not. I don't see a need to enforce such a rule regarding small personal businesses.

Yes. I tried to get a seed swapping forum going but no one was interested...except me. I tried but got no takers.

You can post your own plant swap proposals...who knows maybe it will work, maybe not.

We are international, and some countries have pretty strict rules about importing plants or seeds, quite justifiably, the wrong pest or disease getting in could ruin an agricultural economy. A friend visiting Australia told me a story of being held up behind someone whose bag had tested positive for traces of cocaine, then suddenly the customs men lost interest, the next person had an apple and they were all over him, fully occupied.
It also occurs to me there might be restrictions between states within the USA, but I really have no idea.

I read years ago that there was a specific sweet edible onion that was not allowed outside a certain State. Not sure if it was an April Fools Joke or not.
