I took these pics while i looked for deer sheds early winter

my father in law had pigs in the woods when he was a young man
it was free range back then . you had to fence to keep other live stock out

Smashing, is that a beaver dam?

Yea it's a beaver dam in the main ditch going to the river
We dig it out and they Build it back ! Over and over

Beaver has been extinct for centuries over here, but a family have turned up in the next county from me, no ones sure where they came from.

Zigs let me know i will catch you a breading pair
i could dig on that all day the next morning it will look like that again

They were all trapped out and gone 100 years ago here .
Then the game & fish decided we needed some again
No predators so they are all over

That's my newest fishing spot
My son and a friend and I cleaned all the brush out all around that corner last summer, and made the bridge to cross over into the woods.
It's nice we can ride all the way down along the main ditch
