I wanted climber roses for a long time, but didn't know where to put them, then I thought of all that 8-9' tall fence around the raised bed garden, and so along with most of my Clematis, I planted a Zephirine D. and a Joseph's coat. I bought starter plants early this year, and I can't believe they are already blooming...can't wait till the canes are long enough to start training them.

I grew the New Dawn climber for a while...very fragrant...but a hurricane blew over the long cedar pole I had it trained on and pretty much destroyed the whole thing. 😢

I just never got around to trying again.

That must have been heartbreaking!

I googled the New Dawn, very pretty!
