Can you tell me what is wrong with my chrysanthemums?

I have had NO luck in my garden with chrysanthemums! When I planted the lovely potted ones from the store, they died during our zone 5 winters. Apparently, they were not hardy enough. So, then I bought the small ones from the nursery, but the blooms flopped over and it was not as attractive as I had hoped that it would be. I suspect that I am doing something wrong.

Has anybody here had a variety that has done well for them?

Check your pot to see if the plants are root bound, if so repot the plant. Mums have a way of looking like they are sick for awhile and then they will perk up and have blooms on them. Good luck.
