Hi,

Previous home owner left us this plant but I'm not sure what it is and how to care for it and it's slowly degrading :(

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum :)

Looks like pothos to me - aka Devils Ivy. It's toxic if ingested, so be careful if you've got pets / children. They're pretty easy going but don't like direct sunlight. Make sure that you're not overwatering as that's the most common issue. Stick your fingers into the soil - if it feels damp it doesn't need watering.

I agree with Becky, I think it's a pothos. My boyfriend has one of these, and left it out on the porch during a hard freeze (that's relative, I live in south MS). All the foliage died and he thought it had succumbed to the elements. He left the pot on the counter for about a month with no water and they started coming up again! Truly an impressive houseplant. On the other hand my mom can't keep them alive, but she thinks overwatering belongs in story books with dragons and elves. I think she drowns hers. Consider letting yours dry out for a couple of weeks.

Definitely pothos, about the only way to kill it is by over-watering! I always let mine dry completely in between a good soaking.

Thanks everyone!
I thought it might be that but wasn't sure because the leaves are uniform color. :)
