Can I plant Cabbages deep?

My cabbage seedlings are really leggy.
Can I plant these deep? (like tomatoes)

How about Broccoli & Cauliflower?

How leggy? I always bury mine deeper than what the level is attached to the root ball. Mine doesn't get real, real leggy though. If they are extremely leggy I think I would sort of angle stem and root ball more horizontally than straight up and down to keep the root ball from being buried way down.

Keep in mind the stem will not grow roots like a tomato will.

In wet weather I would worry that the stems would just rot if they went any deeper. The same would apply to any other brassicas.
