Browning Leaves on Rhododendron

This is a deciduous southern rhododendron that has beautiful yellow blooms. In May, the leaves began turning brown along edges and within the leaf. I fertilized after blooming with 13-13-13, not much, just a handful. The pH is about 4.0 according to my handheld meter. I planted it about 4 years ago. Any idea what is causing the browning?
