Hi I was wondering what would be the best way to use my 2' by 29' raised bed it is facing west and I'm in new jersey
I want to grow some vegetables any suggestions on what to grow are appreciated
thank you
Just make sure that your taller plants don't shade any sun loving lower plants. Tomatoes behind radishes, etc. Now how did I know this, oh yeah, nemind....
On the other hand, if you protect lettuce with the shade from your tomato plants, you'll find that they'll grow better in the height of summer.
I reckon you could get 8 tomato plants, 8 pepper plants, a couple of cucumbers, two zucchini plants, lettuces around the toms and peppers, and have room for a small herb garden on either side.
To get the most out of that area, try to use up all the space. 3 feet apart and stuff in between. I try not to waste any space. Even things that aren't in the raised beds. Growing stuff gets addicting. (at least for me)
