Ambrosia beetle?

Did anyone else get ambrosia beetle damage? My figs and mulberries got hit and I had to cut them down to the trunk

That's a nasty one...haven't seen it here but it would be tough to diagnose it. How did you confirm it was Ambrosia?

I should hace taken a picture. It looked like small toothpicks coming out everywhere on the trunk. Very noticable
