Aeroponics

Does anyone have any experience in building Aeroponic Gardens? This is something I've recently become interested in and was wondering if anyone had tips or pointers. There are several pre-mades out there for ridiculous prices, what I'm looking for is maybe some great DIY instructions to building a tower planter with a pvc pipe.

There is a wide variety of methods and plans available online, many of which involve reuse of free or inexpensive materials.
I have also seen premade systems at reasonable prices including towers made of PVC, similar to what you describe. Many of these aeroponic systems do intergrade or resemble hydroponics, as the distinction is not always clear. Each consumer must do his or her own detailed research to find their optimal system.
