Forty five pounds, one bushel of tomatoes, were purchased for 35 dollars and processed int0 21 liters of Pressure Canned juice. Pictures depict the procedure.Frost killed my tomato plants on 18 September 2020.Zone 5.

I don't see how a farmer can survive at $35 a bushel. It would take a lot of bushels just to pay the taxes on the land that raised them.

Small farmers are a scarce as hens teeth. Few are left,

We have our slaves. They are temporary foreign workers brought in for the agriculture season. Mostly from various SA countries. Jamaica supplies many.

We get our extra canning tomatoes from the Amish- $8-12 bushel.
