Blueberry were picked from a commercial farm, 19.5 pounds, the first of our season. The berries were large and excellent quality. Over the next two weeks more will be picked total around 90 plus pounds. Sixteen liters of juice was made about 1.2 pounds of berries per liter. Cost was $2.50 per pound. There is little residue in blueberries, but they need be strained to remove the tiny seeds or the juice is slightly gritty for some people.

Blueberry is probably my favorite fruit juice. Very easy to make. The local crop is good quality this year due to plenty of rain.

Mine too. I hardly ever buy it though since it just doesn't taste the same processed and I haven't found a local source to get it homemade. I'm jealous Durgan.

I have never seen blueberry juice in our supermarkets. The USA is the largest world producer of blueberries.

Fifteen pounds of blueberries were picked and processed into 11 liters of Pressure Canned juice. Pictures depict the process.

Fourteen pounds of blueberries were picked this morning and made into 11 liter jars of juice. Only water was added. The berries were a bit difficult to pick, since the clusters were not all ripe and often single berries had to be separated due to cool not sunny weather inhibiting ripening this last week.
