Skip some of these videos look for water shortage and land shortage videos about # 5 or # 6 or 7. Land in several states are fighting over water rights to grow vegetables. Land with no water is being sold to build high rise apartments. Earth has become too small for its population. Today I plant broccoli and order carrot seeds.

The State of California does not restrict the collection of rainwater that falls on your property. As long as you don't divert gullies, streams, or rivers the collection of rainwater is encouraged by state law. HOAs and local municipalities have their own rules about storage systems.

My sister lives in Colorado her gestapo neighbor keeps calling the city on her every time it rains neighbor takes photos of pools of water in her yard. She tried to plant a garden but keeps getting notices the yard needs to slope down hill so water does not stand in pools. Rain barrels are illegal because it stops the natural flow of water. She gave up on having a garden about 7 years ago.

I had to laugh in Colorado on some watering their lawn with a foot of snow.

But it was so dry my wife rode a Motorcycle to work.

Mountains there are a high desert easier to not have a lawn.

Easier not to worry about a lawn or garden.
