So parsley is a fairly forgiving tough plant IMO

Not in my climate. That's a good example of the difference a climate makes.


By the way @Peaches, I have a good stand of the Burnley up and growing now in containers. Looking forward to the fruits.

I grew Italian Parsley last year as an ornamental and it did fine all Summer, even through 100*+ temps. They did get supplemental irrigation since we don't get rain in the Summer.

I think you would need to have an allergy to something in the leaves. I'm lucky 81 and never shown any allergy to anything, except bee stings, which is pretty universal and wears off after I have had a couple at the beginning of the season.

I grazed the corner of my eye on some squash and got a contact dermatitis enough that I went to the eye doctor. I learned to use Benadryl in my garden that day.
