Potted dahlias getting huge no flowers

Hello all,

This is my first post and hopefully many more for the community

I potted some dahlias in pots from a root and now the are starting to get really big but no flowers ?! when can expect to see signs of blooms .

it's in full sun all day and I have 2 pots of these so I was just wondering how long it can take for blooms to appear

There are three different sizes of Dahlia. Yours are not dwarf so they will grow 3-4ft or up to 6ft depending on the variety. Flower buds should appear when they reach the appropriate height. Do you know what variety they are?

This is the label... they will be approx 3 feet tall but not sure of the exact type just various

They look healthy Johnny. I'd say a few more weeks before buds start to appear.

I agree with the others, they look good and you should see something soon, bit difficult to estimate the height from pictures. However, I notice the picture of the packet says they bloom in 'Early Summer'. In the uk that would be between June1st and midsummer, three or four days ago. In the Northern hemisphere I would think that is the same, but as Canada is further North you might have started a bit later.
