It's storming out so I've been relaxing and chatting on social media. A friend of mine mentioned he found a murder hornet the other day, one of those giant invasive wasps from China. He said he killed it right away. I highly doubt it was a giant murder hornet. My guess is it was a horntail, a very mellow and friendly wood wasp. So I thought I would post this because it's not the first time people confuse the two and killed a horntail that we need for our forests. I didn't take these pics but posting for a comparison.
