It looks like your plants are not in full sun. That alone will cause all sorts of issues. I would start some more seeds and plant them out in full sun and not on a wood trellis as it is more difficult for them to attach themselves to it. A metal trellis, piece of metal fence, etc will give them support for the tendrils to fix themselves to.
